Loch Rannoch Moorings offer exclusive yacht and fishing
boat moorings in Highland Perthshire.
Situated 12 miles from the A9,
and 18 miles from Pitlochry the loch is accessible to all and offers
stunning views
to Schiehallion in
the east to the fabulous backdrop of the Glen Coe mountain range
to the west. Encircled by the ‘Clan Trail’ this stunning
area, steeped in Scottish history will take your breath away.
Professionally installed the Loch Rannoch Moorings offer exclusive,
tranquil sailing and fishing for the berth holders
Berths are available around the loch to suit all tastes. The Bunrannoch
Moorings aside the unspoilt village of Kinloch Rannoch allow easy
access to a full range of outdoor activities for all ages as well
as a selection of quality bars and eateries. Liarn Farm Estate, near
Killichonan, 6 miles west of Kinloch Rannoch offers more secluded
surroundings and spectacular views and back drops.
All berths have pedestrian access to the loch and secure tender
storage.
Rannoch offers fantastic cruising of 11 miles of inland water, with
anchorages all around the area. Cruise past the crannog, built in
the middle of the loch by the fugitive clansmen of the past, then
anchor behind the Camusericht Island to watch the buzzards and ospreys
hunt their prey. This rarely explored area is particularly inviting.
Row ashore for a barbeque then spend the night at anchor or visit
another of our mooring sites for a quiet night afloat.
Accommodation is available throughout the area to suit all requirements,
many providing loch side views.
Fishing permits can be obtained at daily or seasonal rates for trout
and pike fishing. Salmon fishing can be arranged on the nearby River
Tummel.
Berths are available from April to November leased on a seasonal
basis, with option to renew (this includes pedestrian access,
tender storage and 3 mooring inspections per year).
